Aluminum Prices Slightly Decline on the London Metal Exchange – August 2025

According to the latest monthly report from the London Metal Exchange (LME), aluminum prices recorded a mild decrease in August 2025. The average cash price stood at $2,594 per tonne, reflecting a 0.4% decline compared to the previous month.

During the month, aluminum traded within a range of $2,545 to $2,626 per tonne. The official 3-month contract also averaged $2,594 per tonne, showing similar stability with limited fluctuations.

In terms of warehouse activity, total LME-registered aluminum stocks closed the month at 481,050 tonnes. Deliveries into warehouses amounted to 22,175 tonnes, while withdrawals reached 3,925 tonnes, resulting in a net inflow of 18,250 tonnes.

This performance suggests that despite ongoing global supply-demand pressures, aluminum prices have remained relatively stable, with only modest downward adjustments over the past month.
